I love shopping at Sephora, but they rarely offer discounts. The biggest I've seen yet is 20% off when you renew your Beauty Insider VIB status.
So how did I go to Sephora yesterday and save 30% off a $50 purchase? (admittedly, I spend a TAD more than $50, but that's the minimum needed to get the full rebate offer.)
1. BEFORE I went to Sephora, I went to the SendEarning rebate site and registered my Visa card for the Sephora promotion - $10 rebate when you spend $20 or more. This promo runs until January 29, 2014.
Go to the Send Earnings website here
2. Shop! Easy! Staying under $50 is the hard part!
3. Upload your receipt into Ibotta for their $5 back on $50 at Sephora rebate. It takes about 24 hours for the rebate amount to show up in your account. I believe this promo ends Jan 24.
Register for Ibotta here
If you spend $50, the $15 CASH rebate is a total 30% off! Awesome deal!

Fashion: How to have champagne taste on a beer budget
OK, so let me start by saying my "champagne" tastes in fashion aren't Dom Perignon or Cristal - I'm much too pragmatic for that (plus I have kids, and don't want them to go without, so...). This means that Gucci, Prada, Chanel, etc...are out of my league. For the time being.
But I do like the nicer things: leather, silk, designer jeans that aren't laser cut in piles - and for those of you who don't know: CHEAP SHOES ARE ALWAYS A BAD IDEA. They hurt, they stink, they fall apart. There are some places you just can't skimp! So I still have Moet Chandon fashion taste. HOW am I supposed to keep up with this?
I also consider myself to be someone who suffers from fashion ADD - do any of these sound familiar to you?
1. You have a closet full of clothes with "nothing to wear".
2. You rarely wear something more than 2-3 times.
3. Getting something new (and I don't mean brand new, but new to you) is EXHILARATING.
4. Except for a few key pieces, you could easily roll over your entire closet every few months.
5. Despite all this, you still want high end, quality items.
May I present: POSHMARK!!!! This is like eBay for fashion, on steroids. You install the app on your Android or Smartphone, and once you sign up, you have access to every closet on there. I don't know the stats, but it's a LOT of closets. All women like myself, or somewhere on the spectrum, all selling new or gently used clothes for deep discounts off department stores.
The app is user friendly, easy to post, and there are no listing fees. Listings don't time out. Poshmark takes a percentage of your earnings after the item sells. From what I've seen so far, the women on there are very nice - sharing and liking items even if they don't fit or aren't their taste so their other followers can see them. Good communication. Trades, barters, and bundles are welcome in most closets.
There is also the positive environmental/economical impact. This is a great way to recycle clothes instead of throwing them out. The money goes into the hands of other women who need it, or you can trade items without it costing a thing! This is a great idea.
Get the Poshmark app here, and if you sign up and enter my referral code BYZGI, we both get $5 in shopping credit. Happy shopping, champagne snobs!

Get a large 2.5 quart brand new Crockpot for $7.50!
Now through Sunday, January 10, Fred Meyer has marked down their Crockpots.
This particular item was reduced from $19.99 to $9.99 (I can only assume it's because of the sunflower design - which doesn't really appeal to me, to be honest).
If you take advantage of their in-store coupon, you will get an additional 20% off ($2.00). Pick up the weekly add circular on your way for the additional 10% off housewares coupon (another $0.80). So before taxes, the price of the Crock Pot is only $7.20! That's 64% OFF the original price.

Get up to $70 off at Cabela's - BEFORE 1/5/15
This one is a little more labor intensive. But, in my experience, it can be hard to find Cabela's coupons, and this ended up being an awesome deal.
Today the boy and I bought two pairs of leather boots and ended up getting $70 off the whole deal. That made my adorable leather harness motorcycle boots (which I have been SEARCHING for, for like, EVER) $30. LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN. Leather. Harness. Motorcycle boots. $30.00. HEAVEN.
Here's how I did it.
1. text JOIN to 247365 - you will get a $10 off $50 coupon for Cabela's.
2. If you haven't already, join Ibotta. Here's your link. There is a $20 rebate there for spending $150 at Cabela's.
3. Get your behind to Cabela's. Select item(s) up to $75. Check out using your coupon and spend $65. GET YOUR $20 OFF COUPON. The first cashier gave it to us, the second time she didn't and we had to ask.
4. March yourself right back around and select another item(s) for $75, Check out using your $20 off coupon. GET ANOTHER $20 OFF COUPON.
5. Upload both your receipts into the Ibotta app and get your $20 rebate (remember, this isn't points, this is cash that you can send to your PayPal account).
6. You now have another $20 off coupon which doesn't have a minimum purchase amount - my boy is going to use it to get $20 of tackle gear, which will end up being free.
SO, to sum, we got two pairs of boots for a total of $50 off our $150 (that's 30% off), and now we have ANOTHER $20 off that we can use between now and January 11. Yeah, baby.

SendEarnings + grocery coupons = additional $0.10 per coupon redeemed!
The more time I spend on the SendEarnings site the more I think I love it.
Any grocery coupon printed from their site and redeemed earns an additional $0.10 per coupon over and above the coupon savings!
The catch? They are batched in groups of ten, so you need at least that many to get your $1.00 payout, And it takes a few weeks to show up in your SendEarnings account. BUT - why not print and redeem from the SendEarnings site and get a little extra?
If they had a digital option that would be ideal.
Visit the SendEarnings website here
